But is this mysterious prisoner more dangerous than the Roman naval authorities who are hunting them down?

Exiles in Wasteland
Book 2: Exiles in Wasteland opens with the prisoner, the head treasure hunter, and a surviving Roman soldier washing up on the Libyan shoreline.
The prisoner and treasure hunter agree to a temporary alliance in order to hunt for the Red Lady's origins - a forgotten oasis somewhere in the south Egyptian wastes.
The senator sets off with a military attachment to chase these protagonists down. The prisoner explains that Alexander the Great originally received the Red Lady, on his quest to defeat the ultimate enemy - his own mortality.
The traveling trio enter a dangerous border town, in search of a wandering Berber tribe that can take them to Siwa.

Meet Matt Crotts
Matt Crotts is an illustrator living among the mangrove swamps and alligator trails of Southwest Florida. He enjoys reading dusty books, learning languages new and old, and occasionally trying to pick out a tune on his mandolin.
